Monte Cristo
I (Phil) started the band Monte Cristo in 2021 when I was living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the time it was just me, and I really liked rock music, enough to want to try to make my own songs.
It also seemed that the more energy I put into this project, the more it grew, and so I began to hope that maybe God might use this, use me, for the greater purpose of advancing His kingdom and sharing His gospel. I like to think of our music as rock music from a Christian perspective, with the ultimate goal being that whoever hears, it might come to know God through His Son Jesus. I have made Christ the center of my life and wish the same for others.
Philip Macurak
My name is Philip Macurak and I am from Dallas, Texas. My dad is Randall Macurak, my mom is Sherry Macurak, and I have an older brother and a younger sister. My wife is Elayna Macurak, and we live in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Together, we aspire to be missionaries abroad for the kingdom of God. I love rock music! Some of my favorite rock bands right now are Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Seether, Beartooth, Skillet, The Devil Wears Prada, and Demon Hunter. In my spare time, I like to play Dark Souls, read and listen to books (both my wife and I are avid readers!), smoke cigars with a little whiskey, and play with our dogs Maly and Mia.
